Hi! My name is Kelley Cook and I am so excited to be part LIS Spotlight team this year. When I am not with my school family, I have three fun Patriots at home to keep me entertained. Taylor is in 9th grade at LHS this year and his budding sports "career" keeps me very busy. Many days are spent cheering him on at soccer games and tennis matches! My daughter, Natalie, is in 6th grade at LMS. She loves to dance, play sports, and craft! Our family also includes our niece, Madey. She is in 10th grade at LHS and enjoys soccer and track. I am originally from West Point, MS. I spent my college years in Oxford, MS, and moved to Memphis after graduation. My husband, Stan, and I were married 18 years ago and have lived in Desoto County ever since. Becoming a teacher and a mom was my childhood dream and I know I am blessed to be living my dream! I love to shop, go to the concerts, travel, run, and spend time with family & friends. Attending Ole Miss was an amazing experience and I left there with a wealth of new friendships and also a couple of degrees:) Our family enjoys attending sporting events in Oxford whenever time allows. I will strive to help the LIS Spotlight students develop their thinking, creativity, problem solving, leadership, communication, and research skills throughout this school year. I hope to be a teacher that each student remembers as one that helped them set personal goals and encouraged them to achieve them. |
